Every check ends one of three ways
- ClearThe data answers the question, and the answer is good.
- FlaggedSomething on the label trips the check. We name it, with the reason.
- Not assessedWe do not have the data to answer. That is never shown as a pass.
Every tool
- Ingredient CheckerPaste any product's ingredient list. Every ingredient is matched against the catalogue and twelve highlights are computed — fragrance, alcohol, parabens, silicones, sulfates and the rest. Anything we could not read is shown, never dropped.
- Fungal Acne (Malassezia) CheckerFlags the ingredients malassezia can feed on: free fatty acids, esters, plant oils and fatty alcohols in the C12–C24 range. Each flagged ingredient is named, with the reason next to it.
- Seb Derm CheckerSeborrheic dermatitis is driven by the same yeast, so it runs the same check against the same ingredient classes.
- Pore-Clogging CheckerFlags ingredients rated 3 or higher on the comedogenic scale — the line the American Academy of Dermatology drew in 1989. Those ratings are incomplete across the catalogue, so most ingredients come back "not rated" — which is shown as exactly that, never as a pass.
- ProductsEvery product in the catalogue, each with the same twelve highlights, ingredient list, benefits and concerns the checkers produce — plus where to buy it, and a cruelty-free verdict, which only a saved product can answer.
- Dupe FinderProducts with a formula close to one you use: always the same kind of product, scored on how much of each ingredient list the other covers (the top of a list counts for more) and on what the two are for. Each dupe shows both halves of its score and what it shares.
- Compare ProductsTwo products side by side: the twelve highlights row by row with the ones they answer differently shaded, their key ingredients, benefits and concerns, and both ingredient lists with what they share picked out. No match percentage — that needs a skin profile, and there are no profiles yet.
- Ingredient DictionaryAll 33,625 ingredients from CosIng, the EU cosmetic ingredient register, searchable by name (including misspellings), each with its own page.
